In his role as CEO of Timbercreek Capital, Mr. Tamblyn is responsible for identifying strategic initiatives, managing global capital markets activities and general oversight of Timbercreek’s corporate operations. Mr. Tamblyn is also a member of the Investment Committee.
Mr. Tamblyn has over 25 years of experience in public and private capital markets and has led the origination, structuring, capitalization and execution of all public and private Timbercreek funds that currently manage ~$3 billion in assets. Prior to co-founding Timbercreek, Mr. Tamblyn worked at Connor, Clark & Company.
Mr. Tamblyn is an independent Director of and Chair of the Audit Committee of Parkit Enterprise Inc.
Mr. Tamblyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Western University. Mr. Tamblyn also completed the Board Effectiveness Program offered by Rotman and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Tracy Johnston joined Timbercreek in July 2020 as Chief Financial Officer. In her current role as CFO, Ms. Johnston is responsible for overseeing financial and taxation reporting, treasury, corporate financing and the financial reporting and risk analytics platform.
Ms. Johnston has over 15 years of progressive experience in Finance. Most recently, Ms. Johnston was Senior Director, Financial Reporting at Cadillac Fairview. Prior to joining Cadillac Fairview, Ms. Johnston was Director, Corporate Accounting at DREAM Office REIT. Ms. Johnston started her career at Deloitte & Touche LLP in the Assurance and Advisory practice.
Ms. Johnston holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Dalhousie University. Ms. Johnston is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
In his role as Chief Investment Officer, Scott Rowland is responsible for the development of investment strategies and processes, as well as the overall performance of Timbercreek’s portfolios.
Mr. Rowland has over 25 years of industry experience with roles including the Co-Head of Debt Strategies for Fiera Real Estate and the Managing Director for Blackstone’s debt business in Canada. During a 19-year career at GE Capital, Mr. Rowland held a variety of roles including credit underwriting, Asset Management Leader, Originations Leader and the Managing Director for Real Estate in Canada. Mr. Rowland is a leading Canadian non-bank lender, having been involved in over $25B of transactions across a wide variety of asset types and capital structures.
Mr. Rowland holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University, and is registered as both a portfolio manager and mortgage broker.
Ellen Tannous joined Timbercreek in May 2025 as General Counsel. In her current role, she oversees all legal and regulatory matters across the organization, including fund formation and launches, ongoing capital markets activities and general corporate operations.
Ms. Tannous brings over 15 years of progressive experience in securities, corporate, and commercial law, with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and commercial transactions. Most recently, she served as in-house counsel at Park Lawn Corporation, where Ms. Tannous led strategic initiatives and played a key role in supporting the company’s growth, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing governance practices, and managing public company obligations. She began her career practicing corporate and securities law at Wildeboer Dellelce LLP and went on to hold increasingly senior legal positions at leading companies in the insurance, home services, and retail sectors.
Ms. Tannous holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011.
Geoff McTait joined Timbercreek in January 2019 as Executive Director, Head of Origination, Canada. In his current role as Managing Director, CDN Originations & Global Syndications, Mr. McTait leads the Canadian debt origination team and global syndications initiatives.
Mr. McTait has over 20 years’ commercial real estate lending experience. Prior to joining Timbercreek, he was SVP and Co-Head Debt Strategies at Fiera Properties where he focused on relationships and transactions, including new-business origination, underwriting and closing. Before this, Mr. McTait held origination leadership positions of increasing seniority at Blackstone and GE Capital Real Estate.
Mr. McTait holds an Honours Degree in Geography, Urban Development, from the University of Western Ontario. He is a Mortgage Agent, licensed with both FSCO (Ontario) and FICOM (B.C.) accreditations.

Patrick Smith joined Timbercreek in September of 2012 as Director, Origination. In his current role as Managing Director, Head of Global Credit, he is in charge of leading the global underwriting, asset management, closing and loan servicing teams for the Canadian, U.S. and Irish debt platforms, and is responsible for all credit approvals. In his previous role as Executive Director, Global Credit, Canada, Mr. Smith lead the global underwriting team in support of origination and credit approval for the Canadian platform, as well as provided global asset management support by overseeing loan modifications, surveillance and reporting.
Mr. Smith has 20 years of experience in real estate finance and asset management. Prior to joining Timbercreek, Mr. Smith worked at Conundrum Capital as Director of Asset Management, responsible for the acquisition, financing and asset management of a commercial property portfolio. Prior to that, Mr. Smith worked at Merrill Lynch’s Canadian CMBS lending group for 10 years, holding progressively senior positions in origination, credit and structuring.
Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western University and is a Licensed Mortgage Broker #M14000724.
Patrick Maroney joined Timbercreek in July 2018 as Executive Director, Origination – U.S. In his role, Mr. Maroney leads the U.S. debt team responsible for sourcing and managing direct debt investments for our various investment vehicles.
Mr. Maroney has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining Timbercreek, he was Managing Director at Annaly Capital Management where he sourced, structured and closed approximately $1.2 billion in real estate loans secured by office and multifamily properties. Mr. Maroney has also held various positions at GE Capital Real Estate including credit, asset management and originations, with the most recent being a Senior Director in the Institutional Accounts Group focused on balance sheet lending.

Paul Roddy joined Timbercreek in May 2017 as Director, Origination and Head of Ireland to establish the Irish debt lending platform. Mr. Roddy is responsible for Timbercreek’s Irish business, focusing primarily on sourcing and structuring debt opportunities in Ireland.
Mr. Roddy has over 17 years of experience in commercial real estate and structured finance. Prior to joining Timbercreek, Mr. Roddy was Senior Vice President, Asset Management at Hudson Advisors and worked with IBRC in various roles including asset management and origination.
Mr. Roddy holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Science from University College Dublin. Mr. Roddy is a Qualified Financial Advisor.

In his role as Principal to Timbercreek Capital, Andrew Barnicke will play an integral role in sourcing, negotiating, and closing direct real estate transactions that Timbercreek Capital is involved in. In this capacity, he will also sit on the Investment Committee that evaluates and approves investments made by Timbercreek Capital vehicles, including co-investment opportunities.
Mr. Barnicke is the Founder of Barnicke Investments and Consulting Ltd., a privately held private equity and advisory real estate company that focuses on value-add strategies. BIC and its clients actively invest in residential and commercial projects across Canada.
Mr. Barnicke has been involved in the commercial real estate industry for over 35 years and is currently on the investment committee of the Guardian Real Estate Fund, Chair of the Finance Committee of Catholic Cemeteries & Funeral Services, and Chair of Presentation Manor Retirement Home.
Mr. Barnicke spent more than 25 years in the real estate capital markets field holding senior management positions at J.J. Barnicke Ltd. and Vice Chairman at Colliers International. In these positions Mr. Barnicke has been involved in over $30 billion in property transactions, financings, and equity capital raises.
Mr. Barnicke graduated from the Ivey School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Fraser McEwen joined Timbercreek in August 2023 as President, Timbercreek Alternatives. In his current role, Mr. McEwen is responsible for leveraging the broader Timbercreek platform to bring existing strategies and other unique investment solutions to wealth management and family office channels.
Mr. McEwen has over 26 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining Timbercreek, Mr. McEwen was Co-Founder and Partner of Slate Securities LP, an investment management firm dedicated to real estate investing. Before that he held the position of Director, Retail Capital Markets at GMP Securities where he was responsible for the origination, structuring and distribution of new issue offerings and prior to GMP he was Senior Vice President at HSBC Bank Canada where he led the structured derivatives solutions group. Mr. McEwen’s career began in portfolio management at SVC O’Donnell Mutual Funds.
Mr. McEwen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Western Ontario and has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
